Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of brightpathdivorce.com and any services provided by Florida Legal Self Help Services LLC, doing business as Bright Path Divorce Services (“Bright Path,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, submitting information, purchasing services, or communicating with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Nonlawyer Document-Preparation Service
Bright Path Divorce Services is not a law firm. Its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives are not acting as attorneys and do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal analysis, legal strategy, or legal representation.
Using our website or services does not create an attorney-client relationship. We do not represent customers in court, appear at hearings, advocate on their behalf, negotiate legal rights, or communicate as their legal representative.
Our services are limited to nonlawyer clerical document preparation using factual information and instructions supplied by the customer, administrative document organization, publicly available general procedural information, and filing support when specifically included and legally permitted.
We do not decide which legal rights, claims, defenses, remedies, forms, or strategies a customer should pursue. We do not interpret the law for a customer, predict a legal outcome, or tell a customer what information should be included to obtain a particular legal result.
Any reference to “case management” means administrative tracking, document organization, reminders, and status communication only. It does not mean managing or representing a customer in a legal proceeding.
Customers who need legal advice, have disputed issues, are uncertain about their rights, or need representation should consult a licensed attorney.
2. Florida Nonlawyer Disclosure
When required for assistance with Florida family-law forms, the customer and Bright Path will complete Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure Form 12.900(a), Disclosure From Nonlawyer, before document-preparation assistance is provided.
Bright Path may also place the nonlawyer preparer’s name, business address, and telephone number on forms when required by applicable Florida form instructions or court rules.
3. Texas Services
Any products or services offered to Texas customers are not a substitute for the advice or services of a licensed Texas attorney. Bright Path does not represent Texas customers in legal proceedings or provide services that require legal judgment, legal analysis, or the practice of law.
Texas customers are responsible for selecting their own forms and determining whether any form or procedure is appropriate. Customers who require personalized guidance should consult a Texas-licensed attorney.
4. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
• Providing complete, accurate, and truthful information.
• Reviewing every document before signing or filing it.
• Confirming that names, dates, addresses, financial information, and other facts are correct.
• Making all legal and strategic decisions independently or with a licensed attorney.
• Obtaining the other party’s signatures when required.
• Meeting all filing, service, response, hearing, and court deadlines.
• Informing Bright Path promptly of changed circumstances or corrected information.
Bright Path is not responsible for errors, omissions, delays, or adverse consequences caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or late information supplied by the customer or another person.
5. Scope of Services
The services included in a customer’s purchase are limited to those stated in the applicable written quote, invoice, payment request, service description, or separate agreement.
Services not expressly included may require an additional fee. Court representation and legal advice are never included.
6. Fees and Payment
Customers will be informed of the applicable service fee before purchasing services. Court filing fees, sheriff or process-server fees, publication fees, notarization fees, postage, certified copies, and other third-party costs are separate unless expressly included in writing.
Payment plans may be offered at Bright Path’s discretion. Failure to make an agreed payment may result in work being paused until the account is brought current.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Once work begins, service fees become earned in proportion to the work performed. Amounts already paid to courts, process servers, notaries, publication companies, payment processors, or other third parties are not refundable by Bright Path.
A cancellation or refund request must be submitted in writing. Any approved refund will be limited to the portion of services that has not been performed, subject to any separate written service agreement.
8. Filing, Service, Signatures, and Deadlines
Unless expressly included in writing, the customer remains responsible for filing documents, arranging service of process, obtaining signatures, attending hearings, responding to court notices, and monitoring deadlines.
If Bright Path provides administrative filing support, the court or clerk retains complete authority over whether documents are accepted, rejected, returned, or require correction.
Electronic signatures and electronically delivered documents may be used to the extent permitted by applicable law and court rules.
9. No Guarantee of Acceptance or Outcome
Bright Path does not guarantee that a clerk, judge, court, government agency, or other party will accept any document or grant any requested relief.
Courts may request additional documents, corrections, hearings, evidence, or legal action. Any timeline provided is an estimate and not a guarantee. Legal outcomes are determined by the parties, applicable law, and the appropriate court or government authority.
10. Communications
By providing an email address or telephone number, customers authorize Bright Path to communicate about inquiries, intake forms, payments, documents, signatures, filing status, reminders, and requested services through those channels.
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and checking their messages.
11. Text Messaging Terms
Bright Path Divorce Services is operated by Florida Legal Self Help Services LLC.
We provide separate and optional choices for consenting to customer-care text messages and marketing text messages.
Customer-Care and Non-Marketing Messages
Customers who expressly select the customer-care SMS checkbox may receive recurring automated non-marketing messages from Bright Path Divorce Services. These messages may include responses to requests, intake links, appointment reminders, payment or document reminders, filing-status updates, and other service-related communications.
Marketing and Promotional Messages
Customers who separately select the marketing SMS checkbox may receive recurring automated marketing messages from Bright Path Divorce Services. These messages may include promotional offers, service announcements, and marketing follow-ups.
Consent to one category of messages does not constitute consent to the other category. Both consent choices are optional, and consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing services.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time. Reply HELP for assistance, email info@brightpathdivorce.com, or call 407-610-5180.
Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting out of text messages does not prevent Bright Path Divorce Services from communicating through other legally permitted methods when necessary to respond to a request or provide purchased services.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy:
https://www.brightpathdivorce.com/privacy-policy
Mobile telephone numbers and SMS opt-in or consent information are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
13. Website Information
Website content is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.
Court rules, procedures, forms, fees, and laws may change. Bright Path does not guarantee that all website information will always be complete or current.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Path will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the website or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Path’s total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount the customer paid for the particular service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party providers for website hosting, online forms, communications, document delivery, electronic signatures, payment processing, data storage, and other business functions.
Bright Path is not responsible for an outage, delay, security incident, or other failure caused solely by an independent third-party provider outside our reasonable control.
16. Prohibited Use
You may not use our website or services to submit false information, impersonate another person, engage in fraud, violate a court order, interfere with website security, or engage in unlawful activity.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
